Responsibilities

Maintains accountability for completing support tasks as directed
Maintains clear and appropriate documentation of actions taken
May analyzes department processes and other Corewell Health systems encountered and makes recommendations improvements, as appropriate. Participates in quality monitoring activities/process improvement activities
Communicates, collaborates, and acts as a team player with others in order to ensure continuity and coordination of services

Required

Provides hands-on support to the Facilities Department during the 2026 summer internship period (May to August)
This role is based primarily at Butterworth, with occasional travel to Blodgett or other Grand Rapids–area facilities as needed
Assignments will be tailored to the intern's interests and learning goals, when possible, while also supporting key department needs such as accreditation survey preparation and space refreshes
This internship offers exposure to multiple areas within Facilities, including maintenance operations, skilled trades, and building systems, providing a well-rounded learning experience in a healthcare environment

Preferred

High School Diploma or equivalent, currently enrolled in high school or have graduated from high school, or are enrolled in a university pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in the area of accountability
May also be a recent graduate from an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program
