Responsibilities
Plan, design, and implement telecom solutions, including VoIP, unified communications systems, and call center technologies
Maintain and optimize telecom systems, including troubleshooting and resolving issues with telecom networks, hardware, and software
Lead telecom-related projects, including system upgrades, new installations, and vendor management. Develop work plans, coordinate resources, and ensure timely project completion
Serve as the primary liaison with telecom service providers, ensuring effective service delivery, managing contracts, and troubleshooting vendor issues as they arise
Continuously monitor telecom systems for performance issues, uptime, and capacity utilization, and provide detailed reports on system performance and issues
Troubleshoot and resolve complex telecom issues across the organization, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance
Create and maintain documentation for telecom systems, including network diagrams, configuration settings, system standards, and operational procedures
Provide training and support to junior engineers and other team members on telecom systems, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques
Identify opportunities for system improvements, performance optimization, and cost reductions. Research and recommend new telecom technologies and solutions to enhance operations
Ensure all telecom systems are in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and healthcare-specific standards (e.g., HIPAA)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in telecom engineering or a related field, with hands-on experience in the design, implementation, and maintenance of telecom systems
Experience in VoIP systems, unified communications, and call center technologies
Preferred
Certifications in telecom systems (e.g., Cisco, Avaya, VoIP, etc.)
Healthcare IT or enterprise-level telecom management experience
