They are looking for a licensed professional Engineer to lead the design and construction oversight for the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center Electronic Health Record Modernization Infrastructure Upgrade project, ensuring compliance with VA standards and project requirements.
Architecture & Planning
Responsibilities
Review and interpret construction contract documents, drawings, and specifications
Perform constructability reviews and assess impacts on hospital operations
Monitor project schedules, budgets, and change orders; provide recommendations to the COR
Conduct inspections for quality, safety, and contract compliance
Provide guidance on design modifications, value engineering, and long-lead items
Attend weekly/monthly progress meetings and prepare project status reports
Supervise and coordinate multidisciplinary personnel as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Must be a Professional Engineer (PE)
Minimum 10 years of combined design and construction experience in active medical facilities
Experience with VA Design Manuals, Specifications, and TIL
Knowledge of construction contract documents, building codes, budgeting, and scheduling
Proven ability to supervise and manage personnel across disciplines
