Automation Controls Engineer
Behr Paint Company is seeking an Automation Controls Engineer to enhance their Operations team through technical expertise and collaboration. The role involves programming and maintaining PLCs, controls, and robotic systems while leading process improvements and supporting automation initiatives.

Responsibilities
Take ownership of automation systems. Install, program, and fine-tune PLCs, HMIs, and control systems to keep production running at peak performance
Be the go-to troubleshooter and quickly resolve technical issues - provide hands-on support for automated operations equipment
Lead process innovation - support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives with strong project management skills
Assist in sourcing and integrating new automation equipment for material handling, processing, and packaging
Keep systems secure and organized. Maintain documentation and ensure critical data backups are always up to date
Develop and test new programs for control processors and HMIs, and refine existing ones to meet evolving needs
Current work with innovative technology is preferred. (i.e: Rockwell Allen Bradley PLCs, Studio 5000, RSLogix 500, FactoryTalk, Cognex, Keyence, and Fanuc Robots)
Occasional out-of-state travel (up to 10%) to support exciting multi-site projects
Some weekends or holidays may be needed to keep critical operations and projects on track
Qualification
Required
