Responsibilities
Perform power, electrical, and control systems engineering for projects
Prepare and review technical electrical specifications for equipment and processes
Troubleshoot and resolve operational electrical and controls issues
Lead root cause corrective actions to prevent issue reoccurrence
Provide on-call support for plant electrical/control issues
Assist with corporate specifications and safety standards implementation
Prioritize and track issues with other departments
Support manufacturing operations and electrical safety initiatives
Communicate project status, issues, and changes with management and customers
Coordinate and manage external engineering resources and consultants
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
Minimum 3 years of experience in control systems engineering in manufacturing
Strong electrical and control systems engineering skills
Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI programming and communications
Knowledge of DCS/SCADA systems
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and engineering drawings
Project management skills with experience managing multiple projects ($50k - $200k)
Knowledge of NFPA 70E electrical safety standards
Analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to design and execute projects across North America
Willingness to travel up to 10%
Preferred
Experience with 480V and 4160V power distribution systems (switchgear, MCC)
Knowledge of Client DCS systems
AutoCAD and electrical design software experience
