Responsibilities
Manage complex auto bodily injury claims involving serious losses such as catastrophic injuries, fatalities, UM/UIM exposures, and related small business and physical damage claims
Analyze coverage, investigate loss details, determine liability, and evaluate damages in accordance with policy provisions and regulatory requirements
Negotiate and resolve claims within assigned authority while maintaining clear, well-supported documentation
Effectively prioritize and manage a dynamic caseload, providing proactive updates to members, claimants, and other stakeholders
Collaborate with internal teams and escalate complex matters appropriately to ensure optimal outcomes
Coordinate with vendors and business partners to support timely and efficient claim resolution
Act as a subject matter resource to peers on complex and high-severity claims
Deliver a high-quality service experience through clear communication, expectation setting, and responsiveness
Ensure all activities align with risk management, compliance, and control standards
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
4+ years of experience handling auto bodily injury claims
Strong expertise in policy interpretation, claim investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and resolution
Advanced knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, medical terminology, and injury evaluation
Excellent negotiation, communication, and conflict resolution skills
Proven ability to manage time, assess risk, and make sound financial decisions
Ability to obtain and maintain the required insurance adjuster license within designated timelines
Preferred
2+ years of experience handling high-value catastrophic injury claims, including UM/UIM exposures
Bachelor's degree or higher
Professional insurance designation(s)
