Responsibilities
Develop, enhance, and maintain ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF)
Design and implement data models and data warehousing solutions using Azure Synapse Analytics
Optimize SQL queries and perform performance tuning on large and complex datasets
Work with Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, and other Azure data services to support analytics and reporting needs
Implement data security best practices, including role-based access control (RBAC) and data masking
Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
Qualification
Required
6 to 8 years of overall data engineering experience
At least 1 year of recent Synapse experience
Strong expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF), SQL, and ETL processes
Develop, enhance, and maintain ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF)
Design and implement data models and data warehousing solutions using Azure Synapse Analytics
Optimize SQL queries and perform performance tuning on large and complex datasets
Work with Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, and other Azure data services to support analytics and reporting needs
Implement data security best practices, including role-based access control (RBAC) and data masking
Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field
100% remote role (offshore) — must be available to work second shift to overlap with the U.S. team until 12:00 PM CST
Six-month probation period prior to full-time confirmation
If Azure certification is not already held, it must be completed during the probation period
Preferred
Power BI or other data visualization tools
Python or Spark exposure
Databricks experience is a plus
Microsoft Azure certification preferred (not mandatory at hire)
Industry experience in Oil & Gas, Life Sciences, or Food & Beverage is a plus
