Responsibilities

Lead the preconstruction process for large-scale mechanical projects, from initial budgeting to final bid submission
Develop detailed cost estimates, material takeoffs, and labor projections
Perform constructability reviews to ensure efficient design and installation methods
Identify and implement value engineering solutions to improve project efficiency and cost-effectiveness
Collaborate with general contractors, developers, and internal project teams to ensure project alignment
Analyze market trends, labor costs, and supply chain factors to secure competitive pricing
Participate in client presentations and proposal development to win high-value projects
Maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to enhance project success

Qualification

Required

Extensive experience in mechanical preconstruction, estimating, or project management within commercial or industrial construction
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, materials, local codes, and industry best practices
Must have an active network of subcontractors, suppliers, and industry contacts to leverage for competitive bidding
Proficiency in Trimble AutoBid
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and bid documents
Strong leadership skills to collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and negotiation skills for client interactions and vendor pricing
