Responsibilities
Design, configure, and maintain IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (SBI) processes to support Medicaid and healthcare EDI workflows
Develop and support EDI transactions such as 837 (Claims), 835 (Remittance), 270/271 (Eligibility), 276/277 (Claim Status), and 999/TA1 acknowledgments
Manage partner onboarding and integrations with providers, PBMs, clearinghouses, and trading partners
Implement secure communication protocols (AS2, SFTP, HTTPS) and handle certificate management (SSL/PGP)
Coordinate with DBA, infrastructure, and application teams for environment setup, performance tuning, and deployment support
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across Sterling, MQ, and downstream systems
Contribute to migration activities from on-prem to cloud environments (AWS/Azure), ensuring business continuity
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, configuration checklists, and deployment guides
Collaborate with test and QA teams to validate message flows and system interoperability
Participate in Agile ceremonies (Scrum/SAFe) and support sprint deliverables
Qualification
Required
10–12 years of experience in IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (SBI) design, configuration, and support
Deep knowledge of healthcare EDI standards (HIPAA 5010, X12) and data formats (EDI, XML, JSON)
Hands-on experience in BPML, XSLT, Java/Groovy scripting, and map editor tools
Strong understanding of Sterling File Gateway (SFG), IBM Control Center, and Partner Engagement Manager (PEM)
Expertise in message transformation, envelope processing, and workflow orchestration
Familiarity with AWS migration, MQ integration, and API/REST-based connectivity
Strong troubleshooting, logging, and performance-tuning capabilities
Excellent collaboration and communication skills for working with cross-functional and client teams
Preferred
Experience in Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS) or healthcare payer systems
IBM Sterling or EDI-related certifications
