Responsibilities
Design, implementation, and maintenance of the University’s mission-critical server infrastructure
Ensure the stability, security, and performance of both on-premises (VMware/Hyper-V) and cloud-based (Azure) environments
Provide advanced technical support, lead infrastructure projects, and mentor junior staff to maintain a high standard of service delivery
Participate in on-call rotation for occasional after-hours support for system maintenance or emergencies
Create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
At least eight years of progressive experience in systems administration within an enterprise environment
Proven expertise in managing heterogeneous environments (Windows/Linux) and a strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
Experience leading technical projects and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious, and professional relationships with team members and university faculty/staff
Preferred
Master's degree in a technical or management field
VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
Certified in CompTIA Linux+ or RHCSA
Certified in CompTIA Server+
