Crane Company is seeking a Hardware Engineer Intern to support Engineering in debugging, testing, and validation of new product developments. The intern will design, develop, and test equipment while being mentored by an engineer throughout the internship.

Responsibilities

Read technical documents, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings or engineering instructions

Able to use oscilloscope to probe signals on complex PCB layout designs

Assemble products for various purposes, coordinate requisitioning of required parts

Assist in product design of valve monitoring devices

Build and set up test equipment and prototype units

Prepare and conduct experiments, recording results

Use electrical and mechanical lab equipment (signal generators, counters, air supply, etc.)

Follow all safety procedures

Performs other duties as required

Required

In progress towards Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science

Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation

Experience with oscilloscopes, power supplies, logic analyzers, debuggers and/or emulation tools

Experience in bread boarding and soldering of printed circuit boards a plus

Strong written and verbal skills, able to professionally interact with suppliers, customers, and shop floor personnel

Strong Engineering math and calculation skills
