Director of Pricing, Renewable Energy
Dylan Green is a U.S.-based renewable energy company focused on advancing the transition to clean power through large-scale solar and wind projects. They are seeking a Director of Pricing who will develop and optimize the energy pricing approach, aligning it with customer acquisition goals and profitability targets while collaborating with various teams to ensure competitive pricing in a changing energy landscape.
Responsibilities
Build and evolve pricing approaches that grow customer lifetime value while balancing acquisition targets, retention performance, and margin sustainability
Own the full pricing lifecycle, including monthly updates to fixed and variable offers, launch of new plans, and structured retirement of outdated products
Analyze fixed and variable rate portfolios in detail to uncover margin erosion, customer price sensitivity, and opportunities to recalibrate rates
Work closely with wholesale and finance partners to track supply-side costs such as energy and environmental attributes and ensure pricing reflects market risk and volatility
Track competitor offers and broader market movements to ensure our client’s pricing remains differentiated and competitive within the renewable energy market
Partner with technology teams to automate pricing workflows and improve how rates are presented and maintained across digital and offline channels
Create and maintain executive-facing reporting that measures the impact of pricing changes on conversion, churn, and gross margin performance
Collaborate with sales and marketing team members to structure promotions, discounts, and bundled offers that drive demand while protecting long-term brand equity
Lead advanced analytical efforts including scenario modeling to anticipate customer response to pricing changes
Qualification
Required
Extensive experience leading pricing, monetization, or revenue performance initiatives with strong preference for backgrounds in subscription businesses or commodity-driven markets
Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative, analytical, or business-focused discipline such as economics, engineering, marketing, or a comparable field
Strong working knowledge of SQL with the ability to independently pull, manipulate, and interpret large data sets
Familiarity with business intelligence tools for building dashboards and tracking results
Deep fluency in sales and marketing performance metrics along with a solid grasp of pricing mechanics and revenue levers
Proven ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, finance, wholesale teams, analytics partners, and technical stakeholders
High level of precision and comfort navigating complex, multi-variable environments
Preferred
Background in the energy sector is helpful but not mandatory
