Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and lead activities on technically challenging assignments

Develop multiple concepts related to meeting a customer need

Evaluate and recommend engineering and design solutions

Create and present reports summarizing technical analysis and business viability to varied audiences

Maintain primary technical communication responsibility, lead tactical discussions, and effectively communicate with all levels of internal and external customers and staff

Designs, plans, collects, analyzes, and reports on experimental studies and/or new product concepts/ideas

Applies engineering rigor to product designs; ensuring the product will meet performance expectations and delight customers

Shows independent creativity and initiative for business and organizational contributions

Drives discussions and decisions on overall project objectives with managers and other functional leaders

Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in engineeringCAD ExperienceProcess improvementDimensional engineeringProject managementAutodeskFEAMS OfficeBAANMESTechnical executionProblem solving

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering

Experience as a design engineer on a cross-functional engineering team

Strong aptitude for process improvement, problem solving, technical execution, and project management

Experience delivering products from ideation through commercialization using a gated design review process

7-15 years engineering or technical experience

CAD Experience Required

Preferred

Experienced knowledge of lean, manufacturing, design, and quality systems

Demonstrated ability with dimensional engineering and tolerance/variation analysis

Experience as a design or project lead on a cross-functional engineering team

Experience with Autodesk, FEA, MS Office, BAAN, and MES
