2026 Intern - Manufacturing Engineer Intern - Onsite (KY)

They are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Intern who will learn production operations and develop manufacturing skills while collaborating with a multi-disciplined team to improve manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities
Design, control, and improve the manufacturing process through collaboration with a multi-disciplined team
Improve cycle time and lead time
Implement manufacturing process control and performance monitoring
Create and oversee improvement projects
Translate engineering design requirements into manufacturing processes
Perform hardware defect analysis
Participate in corrective action investigations
Qualification
Required
Must be at least a sophomore by the start of summer 2026 pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree majoring in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace or closely related Engineering major
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred
3.0 cumulative GPA desired
Experience with manufacturing
Experience or education with lean manufacturing
Experience/education with technical writing and interpretation of technical documentation
Experience or education with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance analysis
Strong engineering aptitude and analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Technical problem solving
Experience/education with project execution
Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PPT, Project, Word)
