Responsibilities
Develop and verify CNC programs across various machines and product lines
Perform and validate machine setups; ensure compliance through first-piece inspections
Analyze production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
Monitor and document tooling wear/life through manual and automated systems
Create and maintain standard work instructions, setup sheets, and CNC process documentation
Apply quality tools such as FMEA and SPC to monitor and improve process capability
Maintain strong working knowledge of CNC control systems and continuously update skills as technologies evolve
Perform additional responsibilities as directed by management
Qualification
Required
Associate degree, vocational certification, or equivalent hands-on experience in machining, manufacturing, or a technical field
Over 7 years of hands-on experience in CNC machining, including programming, setup, troubleshooting, and process optimization in a manufacturing environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Continuous improvement mindset
High attention to detail and quality
Effective communicator with technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to lead small technical projects and mentor peers
Advanced CNC programming and setup capability
Proficiency with SPC, FMEA, and other quality control tools
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with inspection tools, measurement systems, and standard shop documentation
