InternHoefer Welker is seeking a passionate and determined Sustainability Intern to work directly with their sustainability director. The role involves improving sustainable project design, assisting with sustainability certifications, and supporting companywide sustainability initiatives across various focus areas.
Product Design
Responsibilities
Assist with various third-party certification documentation (ex: LEED, Green Globes)
Assist with company sustainability initiatives such as AIA 2030 reporting
Learn the process and procedures for energy code and green financing analysis
Learn programs such as Cove.tool and WUFI for making informed sustainable decisions
Understand how to sell sustainability to clients and project teams
Qualification
Required
Current participation as a 3rd or 4th year, traditional or non-traditional, architecture, engineering or sustainability student at an accredited university working towards a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, required
Candidate must be proficient in Revit and Microsoft Office
Must have excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
Ability to work effectively in a team atmosphere and meet deadlines
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and personally driven to consistently meet project design and performance goals
Ability to work independently as well as with various disciplines and types of people
Committed to being an effective, contributing team player
Detail oriented and able to perform each essential function satisfactorily
