Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care within scope of LVN practice including vital signs, immunizations, wound care, and other treatments as directed by attending medical provider or RN
Assist with patient triage including walk-ins and telephone contacts
Support clinic operations including rooming patients, maintaining patient flow, and preparing exam rooms
Perform basic patient education on health maintenance, medication administration, and follow-up care instructions under supervision
Maintain inventory of medical supplies and assist with ordering as needed
Assist in maintaining medication stock, including checking for expired medications and proper storage
Support COVID-19 screening, testing, and vaccination activities
Document patient interactions and care provided in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system accurately and timely
Participate in quality improvement activities and chart audits as requested
Adhere to applicable internal and external policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
Other duties as assigned to support clinic and patient needs
Qualification
Required
Current California LVN license
One-year previous experience in an outpatient primary care clinic or similar healthcare setting
Knowledge of HIPAA, Privacy Acts, and ability to maintain confidentiality of Protected Health Information
Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing deadlines effectively
Familiarity with computers and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
Must possess and maintain a valid CA driver's license
Post job offer: CPR/BLS certification, TB test, and annual flu shot (during flu season) required as a condition of employment unless a medical/religious accommodation is requested
