ED Tech Full-Time Night Shift

Saint Alphonsus is a faith-based ministry and not-for-profit health system serving Idaho, Oregon, and northern Nevada communities. They are seeking an Emergency Department Technician to provide care to patients in the Emergency Department, supporting clinical staff and performing various tasks under supervision.

Responsibilities

The ED Tech you will support clinical staff at the unit level by performing those functions of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) under the supervision of the RN as well as collect blood samples, correctly identify patients and transport specimens
Additional duties include all related clerical, receptionist and patient service coordination

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)Basic Life Support certificationPhlebotomy experienceTeam player

Required

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the State of Idaho and / or certified as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) by the State of Idaho and / or the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT)
Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk

Preferred

Six months of experience as a CNA or EMT preferred
Recent experience working with pediatric patients and/or phlebotomy in an acute care setting preferred
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
