Responsibilities
Lead and manage day-to-day activities in the Quality Control Lab to deliver exceptional results in safety, quality, and efficiency
Train, coach, and develop team members to meet performance expectations and departmental goals
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including equipment effectiveness, LEAN principles, and quality enhancements
Oversee operational costs and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines
Collaborate with other departments on scheduling, maintenance, and lab coverage
Investigate out-of-specification materials and non-conformities, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions
Develop policies, SOPs, and long-term plans for quality operations
Prepare performance reviews, reports, and metrics while maintaining confidentiality and compliance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Microbiology, Biology, or related science field
5+ years working with laboratory equipment and aseptic sampling techniques (preferably in cosmetics or pharmaceuticals)
3+ years of supervisory experience in a quality control lab environment
Strong understanding of FDA GMP, OSHA safety requirements, and microbiological testing methodologies (BAM, USP)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
