Responsibilities
Serve as the main point of contact between the law firm and police unions, providing legal counsel and representation
Handle a variety of labor-related matters, including critical incident response, internal affairs interviews, grievance arbitrations and disciplinary hearings
Represent clients before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), Public Employment Relations Board (PERB), and other regulatory bodies
Prepare and file legal documents for arbitration, mediation, and administrative proceedings
Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and memoranda
Collaborate with the firm's broader legal team to deliver strategic legal solutions
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Admission to the New York State Bar in good standing
Strong litigation, negotiation, and advocacy skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
