Senior Vice President - National Excess Casualty Leader

Responsibilities
Working with various regional and corporate leaders, develop the vision, overall strategy and brand for the excess casualty lines of business and segments
Continue the training, implementation and growth of the middle market Umbrella Panel with Carrier Management, Casualty Practice Leader and COO. Oversee and modify (where appropriate) best in class specifications for our excess casualty submissions
Create and oversee Organic Growth (OG) goals for the Practice and strategize with Regional Practice Leaders, HUB Presidents, HUB CSOs, and practice members on how to drive the OG within the various geographies and industries
Partnering with the regional and industry leaders, identify resources around the organization and organize them into a practice group
Support our growth objective by training and developing internal team members and recruiting outside talent to strengthen the practice and develop new capabilities. Be an active and productive participant in Deal Desk and Critical Path where appropriate
Assist HUB teams in winning strategically key casualty business across the enterprise and or assist in the coordination of the right team from across HUB as needed
Assist HUB brokers in defending threats from other brokers on excess casualty programs and be a resource to problem solve or find other resources in the company
Working with Carrier Management, share market information with the HUBs regarding the latest excess casualty products, solutions and trends including punitive damages and global market access
Advance the HUB brand by professionally representing HUB in meetings, seminars, trade shows, speaking engagements and networking events
Working with HUB’s corporate marketing department to develop Thought Leadership through blogs, eBooks, and other technical papers that highlight HUB’s expertise on casualty issues including the co-development of HUB content (website, brochures, RFP templates, sales sheets, and other marketing materials)
Drive innovation in products, solutions, and data and analytics tools working collaboratively with other resources
Working with other leaders and resources, lead the development and delivery of our suite of data and analytics capabilities relative to casualty risks

Qualification
Required
A consultative, positive, proactive and resourceful approach to dealing with prospects, clients and associates
A growth mindset to support the OG goals for HUB's overall business
Be able to listen and build consensus around a shared vision with other leaders that considers HUB's broader financial and strategic objectives (and challenges)
Deep expertise, market relationships and strong visibility in the broad scope of the casualty marketplace
Highly developed organization and time management skills
Strong listening, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Public speaking and presentation experience
Strong degree of self-motivation with a demonstrated ability to lead/motivate others
Is influential and persuasive with the ability to partner across HUB and work well with other leaders
Leads by example and is a 'Servant Leader'
10-15 years of relevant experience
Bachelor's degree (4-year degree)
Up to 25% travel
