Responsible for the maintenance and processing of patient accounts
Ability to timely and accurately gather information for proper billing, collections and follow up for Government payers
Conduct appropriate account activity and overcome barriers to assure timely payment
Understand managed care contracts and reimbursement procedures
Qualification
Required
High School or equivalent
2 years healthcare/collection experience and or equivalent experience in a hospital setting
Demonstrated knowledge of insurance billing relating to patient reimbursement
Computer proficiency to include word processing, spreadsheet, database, and patient accounting system
