Vertech is a company that develops world-class industrial automation solutions for top US companies, and they are seeking a Senior Developer to create Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). The role involves developing MES solutions, programming in high-level languages, and leading projects while mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

Develop MES and system integration solutions for various clients
High level language programming for a variety of applications. This includes .NET, Java, Python, C, C++, SQL, etc
Serve as the development lead on projects and interface with technical clients regarding the solution
Breakdown the technical components of the project and help lead junior level engineers down the right path
Design intuitive, easy-to-navigate, aesthetically pleasing user interfaces within the scope of the project

Required

BS in computer science, math, electrical, mechanical, chemical or related engineering field or relevant experience
At least 3-7 years of experience developing MES or high level enterprise SCADA systems, preferably in a project based industry
Experience with Python, Ignition scripting, backend design, services (REST, API, RPC), databases, SQL (SQL server, Postgres, MySQL), and data modeling
Ability to travel up to 10%

Preferred

Experience with Agile methodology and Scrum preferred
Experience with object-oriented programming, event-driven architecture, and mathematical optimization (e.g. Gurobi, PuLP) are a plus
