Responsibilities

Obtain, prepare, and label pharmacy products according to department policy for final distribution
Under the direction of a registered pharmacist, review and interpret orders for pharmacy products needed for patient care, perform any necessary interventions, and process according to department policy and procedure
Produce billing, monitoring, and usage documentation of pharmacy products for proper billing and inventory purposes
Maintain sufficient inventory of pharmacy products to enable efficient distribution
Provide information via phone/in person to other healthcare professionals and/or customers
Submit medication charge data to assure proper reimbursement
May assist in training technicians, externs and interns in technical aspects of duties
Participate in special projects when necessary

Ohio Pharmacy Intern LicenseEnrolled in Pharmacy SchoolRegistered Pharmacist PursuitCommunication SkillsTeam Collaboration

Required

High School Diploma
Must be actively enrolled in a College of Pharmacy
Must have active Ohio Pharmacy Intern License
Must be actively pursuing licensure as a Registered Pharmacist through completion of academic and/or post-graduate Experience requirements
Registration with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Intern
