Aerospace/Mechanical Engineer – FEA (Engineer II)

Responsibilities

Conduct static, dynamic, thermal, modal, and fatigue analyses using FEA tools
Present analysis results, oversee design/analysis validation tests and prepare technical reports
Contribute to R&D projects on materials and new technologies
Lead the adoption of ML and AI tools for design exploration, analysis process automation, material selections
Collaborate in a team environment to improve product performance and cost

Required

BS, MS/ME or PhD in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or related field, with focus or experience FEA and AI/ML applications
Relevant experience in engineering analysis and FEA (includes graduate level research), and strong knowledge of solid mechanics and FEA methods strongly desired
Experience in data preparation and training of AI/ML models to support design optimization and design-tool development is strongly desired
Effective communicator and team player, able to manage multiple projects

Preferred

Familiarity with materials (superalloys, stainless steels), manufacturing/joining methods, and coatings such as Thermal / Environmental Barrier Coatings (TBCs / EBCs) is a plus
Experience with MATLAB, Python, CFD, GD&T, and dynamic structural modeling is desirable
