ProAmpac is a leading global flexible packaging company seeking bag inspectors to join their team at the Kansas City, MO facility. The role involves inspecting bags for quality, discarding poor quality items, and assisting in maintaining production continuity.

Responsibilities

Pulls hands of bags onto inspection table, and inspects by flipping through bags, looking at sealed ends for open ends, doubles, triples, crocked folds, turn backs, turn under, loosely sealed folds, improper sized gussets, and lack of anti-skid or lacquer

Sets aside a hand of bags at the beginning of an order, or when needed, to replace those periodically checked and torn down

Discards any poor quality bags

Reclaims bags by using glue gun

Notifies the Operator if there is a continual problem

Counts and records number of bags stacked on each pallet for shift, and turns into records number of bags stacked on each pallet for shift, and turns into Operator

Assists other inspectors by sweeping and inspecting, when all work in area is complete

Any additional tasks assigned by management to ensure continuity of production

Qualification

Mechanically inclinedKeen eye for detailHigh School diplomaManufacturing experienceBasic computer skillsTime management

Required

High School diploma or equivalent

Ability to be on your feet working for 12 hour shifts

Keen eye for detail

Mechanically inclined

Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines

Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options

Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office

Preferred

Experience in manufacturing or related field preferred
