The Pre-Litigation Legal Operations Manager will lead and support pre-litigation paralegals, oversee case workflows, and implement process improvements while ensuring compliance with firm policies.

Responsibilities

Directly manage, mentor, and support pre-litigation paralegals

Assign workloads, monitor performance, and ensure coverage across all teams

Conduct regular check-ins, performance reviews, and coaching sessions

Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of new paralegals

Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team culture

Oversee case workflows to ensure timely progression

Identify workflow bottlenecks and implement process improvements

Coordinate with attorneys to ensure paralegal support aligns with case strategy

Ensure accurate case documentation, reporting, and data entry

Develop, maintain, and refine standard operating procedures for pre-litigation support

Ensure compliance with firm policies, ethical standards, and jurisdictional requirements

Monitor case metrics and KPIs to evaluate efficiency and performance

Implement best practices to improve productivity, quality control, and client service

Work closely with intake, medical records, demand, litigation, and settlement teams

Serve as a point of contact for operational issues affecting case flow

Communicate staffing needs, workload trends, and operational challenges to leadership
