Responsibilities
Enhances daily Perioperative and clinic flow
Operates equipment to decontaminate, prep and pack, sterilize, pick instruments and trays to set up case carts
Records and reports malfunctioning equipment and broken instrumentation, scopes and supplies in order to ensure adequate availability
Engages in quality assurance activities and lean/process improvement projects
Coordinate and assist with direction of the shift
Functions as preceptor and educates
Maintain PAR levels to assure inventory, trays and instrumentation
Maintains adequate stock and storage of supplies and equipment to ensure instrumentation and scopes are available
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
1+ years of work experience in a related job discipline
Certified Registered Central Supply Technician (CRCST) through Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA), OR Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) through Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD)
