Responsibilities

Leads and manages projects from planning through implementation, providing direction, subject matter expertise, and guidance to staff while ensuring alignment with organizational priorities
Develops and delivers briefing documents, reports, dashboards, and presentations; communicates findings and recommendations effectively—both orally and in writing—to leadership, staff, and external stakeholders
Conducts evaluations of systems, processes, and policies to identify opportunities for efficiency, effectiveness, and innovation that support OIG’s mission and core functions
Serves as OIG representative on committees, task forces, and interagency workgroups, fostering collaboration and building relationships with internal and external partners
Works under general supervision with moderate latitude, exercising initiative, problem-solving, and leadership to advance strategic objectives and support team development. Performs other duties as assigned

Required

Graduation from a four-year college or university with major coursework in public policy, public or business administration, research analytics, or a related field is preferred
A minimum of three years of professional experience in process improvement, project or program management, organizational development, or related work
A minimum of three years of experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel formula creation is required
Experience reviewing, evaluating, and improving programs or processes
Experience to synthesize complex information and translate it into clear, concise, and well-organized written reports or briefing documents

Preferred

Preferred five years of experience in Texas Health and Human Services
Preferred experience with Texas Health and Human Services hiring processes
Knowledge of health and human services programs, functions, and systems, including applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations, is preferred
Experience in cross-functional collaboration, working with executive leadership, and contributing to organizational improvement projects
