Smalley is a global manufacturing leader of precision metal formed products, and they are seeking an Entry Level CAD Drafter. The role involves preparing drawing packets, generating tooling packets, and updating existing drawings to support Engineering and Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Use computer assisted drafting (CAD) equipment and software to generate various standard parts, special springs and rings drawings according to engineering worksheet requirements and customer specifications

Perform various data entry and retrievals

Generate develops and redevelops and discuss requirements related to specifications or design with appropriate departments (Engineering, Quality Control, Customer Service, and Production Control)

Develop to 100% dimension completion

Update existing drawings to new specifications as required

Check existing drawings against new customer prints

Generate quote drawings

Make engineering changes and update old drawings to new formats

Create and maintain existing vendor sheets

Enter and deactivate change notifications

Add standard notes to drawings

Generate tooling packet

Qualification

AutoCAD LTData entryHigh school diplomaTeam collaborationCommunication skills

Required

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or entry level with up to one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Proficient in AutoCAD LT

Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis
