Selling guest rooms and Hyatt services to transient market customers through corporate accounts, travel agencies, individual travel and wholesale groups
Managing current accounts
Conducting outside sales calls
Ensuring proper solicitation of all transient markets
Preparing and presenting effective proposals
Maintaining well organized documentation and reports
Utilizing Hyatt technology systems
Coordinating customer service requirements with hotel operations staff
Participating and may lead event meetings, sales and other staff meetings
Working as a team member with the sales and catering staff and with assigned Administrative Assistant and other support staff
Qualification
Required
A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
Refined verbal and written communication skills
Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, hotelligence, rfp express, lanyon, and salesforce.com
It's required for this position to be onsite
Preferred
A minimum of 1-3 years of hotel sales or comparable experience preferred
Prefer completion of a Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent training
Prefer selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills training
Community involvement and/or professional association is highly regarded
