Required
6+ years progressive legal experience with meaningful time as startup GC/AGC or leading legal at a high-growth tech company; you've built legal ops from scratch and supported product/market expansion
Bar admission in at least one U.S. state (active and in good standing). J.D. required
Marketplace + payments fluency; comfort with Stripe/processor flows, refunds/disputes, and 1099/1099-K dynamics
Regulatory range: consumer protection (UDAAP/UDAP), TCPA/SMS, privacy (CCPA/CPRA + state analogs), employment/contractor classification, multi-state licensing/registrations. Insurance/fintech or transportation/logistics exposure is a strong plus
Securities readiness: practical understanding of SAFEs/convertibles, Reg D, and (bonus) Reg CF mechanics and disclosure hygiene
Operator's mindset: you turn rules into playbooks, reduce review cycles, and unblock revenue safely
Systems builder: hands-on with CLM, intake, trackers, and knowledge bases; you document, templatize, and automate
Calm, high-integrity judgment and crisp communication under pressure; trusted partner to founders and boards
