Responsibilities

Perform basic patient monitoring activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN)

Remain at bedside of assigned patient at all times unless relieved by an appropriate staff member

Assist in calming and/or reorienting patient in cases of agitation or confusion

Remove visible hazards and/or broken equipment from immediate environment and report as appropriate

Record all observations

Qualification

BLS ProviderCrisis Prevention CertificationHigh School DiplomaPatient MonitoringCommunication Skills

Required

BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted

Certification specializing in Crisis Prevention preferred

High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required
