Drevol LLC is seeking a Microsoft 365 Tenant Carve-Out & Consolidation Engineer with extensive experience in tenant migrations. The role involves leading tenant carve-outs and consolidations, ensuring minimal disruption and secure data transfer during migrations of Microsoft 365 tenants.

Computer Software

Responsibilities

Lead and execute Microsoft 365 tenant carve-outs during divestitures or organizational separation
Perform tenant-to-tenant consolidations for mergers or centralization initiatives
Plan and execute migrations for:
Exchange Online (mailboxes, shared mailboxes, archives)
SharePoint Online & OneDrive
Microsoft Teams (channels, chats, meetings where applicable)
Design and manage identity strategy (Azure AD / Entra ID), including:
User object mapping
Domain moves
Conditional Access considerations
Handle mail flow, DNS, MX records, and hybrid scenarios
Use and manage migration tools (e.g., Quest, BitTitan, ShareGate, Microsoft native tools)
Develop migration runbooks, cutover plans, rollback strategies
Ensure security, compliance, and data integrity
Work with business and IT stakeholders to coordinate migration timelines
Provide post-migration validation and support

Required

7+ years of experience (3+ years with M365 migrations)
Proven experience in tenant carve-outs and tenant consolidations
Led or executed migrations involving multiple Microsoft 365 tenants
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 tenant migrations
Demonstrated experience in tenant carve-out or consolidation projects
Deep knowledge of Exchange Online
Deep knowledge of SharePoint Online / OneDrive
Deep knowledge of Microsoft Teams
Deep knowledge of Azure AD / Entra ID
Experience with migration tooling (BitTitan, Quest, ShareGate, etc.)
Understanding of hybrid environments
Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills
Ability to work independently and lead migration workstreams

Preferred

Experience with M&A or divestiture projects
Microsoft certifications (MS-100, MS-101, MS-102, etc.)
Experience with security & compliance (DLP, retention, eDiscovery)
