Responsibilities

Supports proposal strategy and execution efforts. This may include preparing RFQs and processing POs for urgent or complex purchases
Compiles and analyzes statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives
Compiles information to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes
Confers with suppliers and analyzes supplier's operations to determine factors that affect prices and determines lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules
Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up orders placed, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records
Communicates with program customers to work and resolve challenges in the execution of the procurement efforts that are in their organization
Effectively manage a supply base: Evaluate supplier delivery, quality, and cost performance
Prepares and briefs charts to program and GSC Leadership on key performance indicators
Demonstrated ability to utilize Microsoft Office to create spreadsheets, documents, presentations. (i.e. Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
The ability to collaborate with program management and other multi-functional teams
Possess strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to work with minimal supervision, work successfully in a fast-paced environment and apply sound judgment to problem solving

Required

Bachelor's degree AND a minimum of 5 years of related professional experience that includes a background in Supply Chain Management and/or Program/Project Management, OR a Master's degree AND a minimum of 3 years of related professional experience that includes a background in Supply Chain Management and/or Program/Project Management
1+ years of mentoring, training, managing and/or leading people
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security DOD clearance and Program clearance
US Citizenship required

Preferred

Import / Export (ITAR) experience for movement of materials and technology
Experience with SAP procurement systems
Prior or current Government or Aerospace buying experience
Experience with FAR/DFAR
Experience with CPSR and government audits
