The J.M. Smucker Co. is seeking a Legal Intern to gain substantive legal experience in various areas of law within their Legal department. The intern will perform legal research, draft memos, assist in policy drafting, and present case law to the attorney team while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Draft memos & prepare high-level overviews of emerging legal issues

Assist in drafting internal policies & other company legal resources

Document reviews related to company litigation

Present new case law & regulations to the attorney team

Qualification

Required

1L or 2L (current full-time student); 2L or 3L (current part-time student); Spring Starts and 3+3 students are welcome

Interest in corporate law or obtaining in-house legal experience

Strong academics and involvement in extracurriculars, with preferred class rank in the top 40%

Excellent research, writing, and communication skills

Collaborative, curious and self-motivated

Resume must include GPA and class rank (if available)
