Binion's Gambling Hall is seeking a Senior Purchasing Buyer responsible for sourcing all goods and services in the hospitality/gaming industry. This role involves building supplier relationships, developing sourcing strategies, and ensuring timely delivery of quality products while optimizing cost savings.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong supplier/vendor relationships

Develop sourcing strategies to optimize cost savings, quality, and delivery

Align purchasing strategies with departmental needs as well as overall business objectives

Collaborate with internal departments to forecast demand, monitor inventory levels, and ensure continuity of supply while minimizing excess stock

Proactively identify and resolve supple chain risks, delivery issues, and invoice discrepancies

Improve forecasting accuracy by analyzing historical data to maintain adequate inventory levels

Continual review of the entire procurement cycle from requisition to purchase order issuance and delivery; thereby ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures

Identify operational efficiencies and present recommendations to streamline business processes

Required

Minimum of 5+ years of experience in purchasing, preferably within the gaming/hospitality industry

Strong negotiation and analytical skills along with excellent organizational, time-management and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Advanced proficiency in computerized accounting systems such as Stratton Warren, Microsoft applications such as Excel and Word

Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with co-workers, departmental managers, and external contacts, and to work effectively in a professional team environment
