Responsibilities
Develop our simulation environment
Build the simulator to smoke test the end to end system
Evaluate complex scenarios that are unsafe or impractical to test IRL
Scale up testing to massive numbers of runs
Represent the physics of the real world in simulations, including deforming terrain
Ensure simulations are computationally efficient and realistic
Write code and build worlds for the core content and algorithms of simulation
Perfect the operation of construction machines in a virtual sandbox
Qualification
Required
Exceptional software engineering skills
Experience developing simulation environments
Knowledge of system evaluation
Strong geometric understanding
Ability to close gaps in simulation for realistic autonomy stack performance
Hands-on coding experience
Ability to build core content and algorithms for simulation
Experience perfecting the operation of construction machines in a virtual environment
Preferred
Experience with machine learning
Experience in robotics
Experience with computational efficiency in simulations
Passion for building high scale, highly realistic simulation environments
Experience in the construction industry
