Responsibilities

Coordinate patient placement, discharges, and transfers to ensure expeditious placement in diagnose appropriate areas of care in accordance of the acuity of the patients, the current unit census and within guidelines as specified in each department's policies and procedures

Utilize the assistance of the Staffing Coordinator to ensure that placement of patients is in accordance with current staffing ratios and initiates dialogue as anticipated needs fluctuate thereby assisting the professional staff in meeting the patient care needs of the institution

Maintain and keep current the 'bed board' and accuracy of systems for evening closure
