Responsibilities
Provide daily in-house mechanical and electrical servicing, repair, and maintenance in an efficient, discreet, and guest-friendly manner
Address machinery malfunctions immediately, ensuring prompt repairs
Plan and manage all preventative maintenance work, new projects, extensions, and renovations in a way that impacts the guest experience the least
Fabricate and repair furniture/fixtures, ensuring a well-maintained establishment
Reply and respond promptly to guest requests
Provide technical guidance, oversee project design and implementation, and collaborate with other departments
Ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets, monitoring progress and addressing concerns
Conduct regular team meetings and evaluate individual and team performance
Safely and efficiently perform jobs such as carpentry, painting, and plumbing. Work with contractors when necessary
Qualification
Required
2+ years of experience as an engineer in a hotel environment; management experience is preferred
Experience with boilers, chillers, HVAC, etc. is required
Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and equipment manuals
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Must be available for on-call shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
