Responsibilities
Perform apartment maintenance tasks, including maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing or replacing items such as:
Plumbing
Electrical
Appliances
Air conditioning
Assist with the preparation of vacant apartments for occupancy and helping with apartment turnover in general
Participate in community maintenance duties, including building maintenance, preventative maintenance, service request completion, groundskeeping, and other tasks as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
At least one to two years of related maintenance experience and/or training
Strong customer service skills and a passion for helping people
Ability to communicate effectively and in a positive manner with residents, vendors, and co-workers
Knowledge of Fair Housing laws
Capable of frequently lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds, occasionally moving or maneuvering up to 100 pounds
Have reliable transportation to and from work. [For Florida, Must have valid driver's license.]
Must provide and use their own hand tools to perform duties required unless otherwise specified by the property
Effective problem solving and time management skills
Good attention to detail
Team player attitude
Able to respond to emergency calls after scheduled work hours, weekends, and holidays when needed
