Financial Associate
Auburn University Libraries is seeking candidates for the position of Financial Associate. The individual will provide financial and accounting support in budget management, financial reporting, and audit/reconciliation.

Responsibilities
Prepares, examines, codes, and processes forms and vouchers for financial transactions, including travel vouchers, vendor vouchers, and requisitions
Collects and disburses cash, checks, and other negotiable instruments
Processes journal vouchers and collection reports for deposit into the library’s account
Approves payments of invoices and processes vendor vouchers using the dual bookkeeping system, Voyager
Ensures accuracy by sending corrections/errors to individuals for rectification, including vendor vouchers and purchasing card transactions
Acts as the purchasing card reconciler for the acquisitions unit
Assists library employees with official travel arrangements by paying for airfare and registration using the AU P-card
Tracks yearly spending and manages professional development funding allocated to employees
Generates, reviews, analyzes, reconciles, and processes financial reports as needed
Conducts monthly reconciliation of financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with university policies
Manages the processing and reporting of payments into the financial accounting system
Serves as a liaison to department heads, vendors, employees, and central or other finance offices
Responds to financial inquiries from library staff and stakeholders
Provides support on financial systems and procedures
Collaborates with other university departments to ensure seamless financial operations
Ensures all financial activities comply with university policies and procedures
Performs other duties as required as part of the administration office
Participates in outreach activities, search committees, or internal committees at the library and university
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent plus 4 years of experience in financial support services for Level I
High school diploma or equivalent plus 6 years of experience in financial support services for Level II
Experience must include at least 2 years at the preceding level or equivalent
Knowledge of extensive body of rules, precedents, procedures applicable to administrative support work
