Responsibilities

Develop and manage curricula and programs to meet participants' educational and career development needs as well as grant goals
Establish a system of effective program performance planning and reporting
Write and submit grant applications, including program budgets
Supervise all budgetary aspects of grant programming including management of expense, actual, and projected budgets
Serve as liaison to the funder, the American Job Center Network, other grant recipients, vendors, the community and employers
Identify and recommend the appointment of qualified instructors for courses and workshops; evaluate and observe classroom instruction
Supervise the recruitment of participants for and the marketing of the program
Create participants retention initiatives to bolster completion rates
Develop and oversee the community service, volunteer, and job readiness components to foster successful employment placements
Collaborate with community-based organizations that serve the grant population
Communicate the project goals to diverse constituent groups, including employers, industry associations, workforce systems, and community-based constituents
Share and disseminate best practices for both internal and external audiences
Prepare required funder reports as well as internal reports
Manage program records and enrollment reports; evaluate program/course effectiveness
Supervise staff
Perform other duties, as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree required
At least two (2) years of successful program management experience
Experience in youth education programming required
Strong administrative and supervisory skills required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
Excellent computer and database management skills required
Prior experience working effectively with diverse, low-income populations
Ability to work some evening and weekend hours is required

Preferred

Master's degree preferred
Grant-funded program experience preferred
Teaching experience a plus
