Bulk Capsule Compounding Specialist

The Bulk Capsule Compounding Specialist is responsible for operating production equipment, maintaining a clean workspace, ensuring batch quality, and troubleshooting equipment problems to meet production schedules.

Responsibilities
Operates production equipment, completes batch records in accordance with SOP’s; maintains a clean and safe operating area; ensures batch quality and integrity; troubleshoots equipment problems; and meets production schedules
Apply the appropriate techniques to produce capsules based on chemicals and their properties, manipulating yield, manual and semi-automatic operations with the machinery and equipment
Apply mathematical concepts
Setting up, troubleshooting, and maintaining the machinery is essential
Workflow planning and execution
Conduct trials and make recommendations for improvements to create and implement processes
Weigh chemicals and ingredients as required by a Compounding Formula Log Sheet Record
Perform chemical compounding to ensure a consistent and high-quality preparation
Adhere to all safety and operating instructions when working with CAP8, blending/mixing, and packaging equipment
Read and understand MSDS sheets to ensure compliance with safe workplace standards
Assist other compounding team members in meeting production demands, ensuring quality control, and maintaining a safe and clean working environment
Package all preparations into final containers according to company policies, procedures and verify quality standards
During compounding, packaging, and labeling, all individual bulk preparations will be clearly identified by having either appropriate labeling or batch tickets attached to the product
All Bulk Capsule Compounding Specialists will give the highest level of attention to products they are compounding and remain constantly focused while they are compounding to ensure high-quality products and maintain a safe working environment for themselves and others
Qualification
Required
Must be registered with the state of New Jersey as a pharmacy technician
Obtained High School Diploma or GED
Detail-oriented – proven ability to plan, prioritize, and manage workflow and processes
Display and accept accountability
Excellent problem-solving, analysis and communication skills
Customer (internal and external) focus
Possesses a sense of urgency
Continuous, concentrated mental and visual effort to plan and perform work
Work involves slight physical risks that require following basic safety precautions
Visual acuity to read computer screens and written materials
Must be able to lift an occasional 50 Lbs
