Responsibilities

Implement and maintain new systems within the Unreal Engine, focusing on scalable and performant solutions for:
Distributed rigid body simulation
Networked physics interactions
Maintain the existing physics engine and ensure seamless integration with Unreal Engine
Work directly with the simulation teams to enable large-scale simulations
Be forward-thinking by staying up to date on current techniques, research, graphics data, hardware, etc
Be a vision holder for the future of multi-solver, networked physics simulation in Unreal Engine
Collaborate with our game and project teams to create engaging content through simulation

Qualification

C++Game networking principlesNetworked physics interactionsDistributed computingPerformance optimizationMath skillsInterest in gamesCollaboration

Required

Strong C++ knowledge and excellent math skills
Strong grasp of game networking principles
Demonstrated interest in games with 5+ years of professional experience
Experience shipping multiplayer or massively multiplayer, networked games
Experience developing and optimizing performance-critical networked systems and working in large codebases
Experience with dynamic gameplay systems (character interactions, physics simulation, etc.)
