Responsibilities
Work with Design to drive the creative process with a holistic understanding of the brands aesthetics
Manage calendars to ensure timeliness of deliverables
Attend all sketch handoffs with designers and tech designers, call out questions to make sure garments are executable
Troubleshoot, problem solve and suggest “best practices” of construction details while maintaining company aesthetic, cost margins and deliverables
Launch styles to overseas factories with clear instructions for execution
Enter Bill of Materials in RLM, making sure styles details are up to date
Work directly and be in daily communication with sample maker, patternmaker, tech designers for any updates
Ensure execution of milestones to meet on-time delivery of samples and bulk production
Keeping Track of the updates during proto, SMS and Production fittings
Hold SMS costing reviews Merchants and Sales teams at proto and SMS milestones; Communicate any at risk styles for IMU during development calendar accordingly
Manage/monitor WIP factory performance
Develop product to meet our global product testing and compliance requirements
Implement goals and initiatives for self and team to drive efficiencies and process improvement
Align cross-functionally to drive decision-making
Qualification
Required
7+ years' experience in product development, costing, and production
Experience in woven & knitwear
Knowledge and familiarity in using RLM
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Product Development or Production related field
Passion for product & fashion
Strong aptitude and understanding of luxury garment construction and production
Product centric and Operations savvy
Ability to understand factory capabilities to direct development into most appropriate locations
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of the organization
Attention to detail
Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency
Strong, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
Excellent oral and written communication
Strong interpersonal skills for building working relationships within teams
Strong time management and organizational skills to establish priorities and meet specific timelines
Ability to proactively trouble shoot and problem solve
Ability to strategize and drive through results
Strong computer skills, tech pack and/or BOM building skills
