Responsibilities

Work independently, under general supervision of the Associate Registrar, on all policy, procedural, and analytical matters related to degree completion
Clarify relevant policies for advisors, other campus constituents, and students
Understand how all rules and policies come together, and assess and recommend changes that would improve policies that might be detrimental
Apply knowledge to creative problem-solving in complex and challenging policy, procedural, and curricular situations

Required

Thorough knowledge of, or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge in policies, procedures, and outside regulations pertinent to progress-to-degree and to the functions of the Registrar's Office
Working knowledge of and ability to apply standard theories, principles, practices, and techniques to develop sound conclusions and make appropriate recommendations
Expertise in investigating and analyzing problems with a broad administrative impact and implications. Ability to anticipate problems and address them proactively
Skill in the research, development and evaluation of policies and programs, including skill in the collection, evaluation, and interpretation of data to develop sound conclusions and make appropriate recommendations
Ability to function independently and show significant initiative in identifying creative solutions and process improvements for a program, including addressing gaps in existing policies, procedures, and communication
Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university
Three years of technical or administrative experience
A graduate degree in a related field may be substituted for one year of the required experience
Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis
