Responsibilities
Support and develop engineering managers and team leads across iOS, Web, and Backend. Set clear goals, ensure strong execution, and build a high-performing, collaborative team
Help scale our engineering processes, including cycle planning, prioritization, hiring, and internal communication
Partner with Product, Design, and Operations teams to align on company goals and ensure efficient, transparent roadmapping and delivery
Work closely with our CTO and Staff Engineers to shape and refine our technical strategy, architecture, and platform investments
Champion a strong engineering culture rooted in trust, inclusion, autonomy, and continual improvement
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience in Software Engineering, with around 4 years in a leadership or management role
Proven experience managing cross-functional and multi-location teams
Background in consumer product development, preferably in high-scale mobile or fintech apps
Deep understanding of software development best practices across frontend and backend
Passion for building simple, elegant solutions to complex technical and human challenges
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Based in New York City or able to commute to our NYC office at least twice a week
Preferred
Experience in a startup or high-growth environment, ideally at the Series A/B/C stage
Exposure to or familiarity with our tech stack: Node.js, TypeScript, Firebase, Swift, React
Experience with Generative AI
Experience scaling engineering processes and teams
Previous involvement in recruiting, hiring, and team design at a strategic level
Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, observability, and data-driven product iteration
