Data Center Engineer - Critical Infrastructure

The role requires a strong understanding of critical facility systems and involves responsibilities such as managing vendor relationships, maintaining asset tracking records, and providing 24/7 support for critical alarms.

Responsibilities
Possess a strong working knowledge of critical infrastructure systems, including: UPS: Uninterruptible Power Supplies, Generators: Backup power generation systems, Chillers: Refrigeration systems for cooling equipment, Switchgear: Electrical distribution and control equipment, Commercial HVAC: Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning systems, Building Automation Systems (BAS), Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for critical infrastructure systems
Manage vendor relationships, including performance monitoring
Maintain accurate asset tracking records for all critical infrastructure equipment
Track and analyze maintenance records to identify trends and proactively address potential issues
Respond to all critical alarms during after-hours periods as required
Identify opportunities to optimize system performance, enhance efficiency, and reduce operational costs
Qualification
Required
3-5+ years of experience in critical infrastructure engineering or a related field
Strong understanding of facility operations and best practices
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Proficiency in CMMS software and other relevant tools
Bachelor's Degree
