GovCIO is seeking a highly experienced Network Architect/Engineer SME with advanced IT systems engineering expertise to support AETC A6/XP AWAKEN network operations and modernization. This role involves designing, integrating, and securing enterprise network and IT systems in compliance with DoD standards and cybersecurity mandates.

Responsibilities

Implement advanced network architecture principles across WAN, LAN, wireless, and cellular domains, ensuring alignment with DoD standards and optimized performance

Familiarity with DoD RMF, DISA STIGs, and cybersecurity compliance frameworks

Must be able to leverage industry/DoD best practices of modern network solutions and applications like ISE, QoS, SD-WAN, SD-Access, Cloud Networking, system monitoring solutions, and managed services

Highly adaptable to mission needs such as troubleshooting connectivity challenges, bandwidth issues and mitigating risks while implementing Wi-Fi/hardwire solutions

Demonstrates strong communication skills for consulting with diverse contractor teams senior leadership, and host base stakeholders

Provides clear, concise executive-level reporting and presentations using metrics-driven insights

Utilizes advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based collaboration tools to support project execution

Incumbent is expected to support travel frequency of one week per month (25%)

Must be a self-starter, abstract thinker, and manage multiple stakeholder expectations/requirements
